The Dhol Foundation was set up in 1990 by professional world class musician Johnny Kalsi .
Over the years students at TDF have been enjoying a rich Dhol syllabus created by Johnny Kalsi to improve learning, understanding and most importantly, the execution.
There are several classes run in the UK and overseas. Additional workshops & master classes are also run worldwide in schools & colleges upon demand. These are just one of the many activities of TDF.
An annual membership of £100 is required to join Classes (this can be paid in 2 instalments), with a fee of £10 per week.
This membership provides:
One, 2 hour lesson each week.
Professional tuition and with the best Dhol instruction you can have.
All tuition in accordance with TDF syllabus.
FREE admission to all TDF classes in the UK or worldwide.
Concessions for TDF shows and concerts.
FREE advice on maintenance and FREE labour on repairs.
A 10 minute lesson and advice via the internet with Johnny Kalsi himself should a prepaid member not be able to attend class for a couple of weeks.
Vetted, highly trained teachers, all CRB checked and all First-aiders, trained by St John's Ambulance.
TDF are also responsible for putting the Dhol on the map for GCSE Music. This means that anyone taking GCSE Music can select Dhol as their instrument of choice, and TDF will promise to help them get to a pass level for the practical.
